Hidden by the Gargoyle

Throughout my entire life, I have been a mere mortal living amongst a population of supernatural beings in a small town. It wasn’t until recently that I unlocked my hidden magical abilities and came face to face with a daunting prophecy that I am destined to fulfill.

Realizing the danger that lies ahead, I find myself in desperate need of protection. To my surprise, Dax Tremaine, a gargoyle whom I have known since childhood, steps forward and volunteers to be my guardian. Little does he know that I have harbored feelings for him for the past ten years, and that I have remained chaste, holding onto a vision of a future with him.

I never imagined that he would discover my secrets, let alone reciprocate my affections. However, when a malevolent warlock casts a spell on me, Dax boldly kisses me in order to break the curse. The passion between us ignites, but I sense that Dax is holding back.

As the threats surrounding me escalate, I delve deeper into Dax’s enigmatic past, uncovering the reasons why he is hesitant to fully embrace his feelings for me. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, I am resolute in my determination to fulfill my destiny and safeguard those dear to me, particularly the gruff gargoyle who has captured my heart.

Yet, unless Dax can open up his heart and allow himself to love me wholeheartedly, my elusive happily ever after may remain out of reach.
